An artist and Redditor is continuing their endeavor to recreate Marvel characters as Pokémon, this time reimagining Kingpin as Generation One's Snorlax. With nearly 900 pocket monsters in the franchise, there are countless options for fan art based on the series, with recent popular internet reimaginings including Pokémon's Eeeveelutions seen as adorable bunnies.

As one of the biggest franchises in the world, Pokémon has been a popular choice for creative fans to reimagine across a range of mediums, from digital art to sculptures, and even stained glass. With lots of characters, as well as regional variants and different evolutions, there's no end to the many possibilities artists have when it comes to putting their own spin on classic Pokémon. Fans are currently gearing up for the upcoming release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which will take players back in time to an early era of the Sinnoh region, then known as Hisui. Thanks to various leaks ahead of the game's launch, fans already know which Pokémon will feature in Legends: Arceus, meaning fan art of these specific Pokémon is likely in the coming weeks.

Redditor jaibrooklyn has shared a look at their latest Pokémon fan art, which reimagines Snorlax as Marvel's Kingpin. The user's impressive artwork sees Snorlax in the role of a mob boss, surrounded by cash and Poké Balls as it peruses a copy of the Poké Times, which includes a nod to Spider-Man himself. Like Kingpin, the Snorlax doesn't seem too pleased with the newspaper coverage of Spidey, with the pocket monster looking ominous and angry. The image is joined by a host of other fan art from the creator, including Lucario as Batman. The post has been a hit on Reddit, receiving over 8,000 Upvotes at the time of writing.

The creator's attention to detail is impressive, and eagle-eyed fans might spot a hidden pocket monster in the Snorlax artwork, with jaibrooklyn adding Dragonite onto Snorlax's $100 bills. The Redditor has revealed they plan to create more comic book and Pokémon mash-up artwork in the future thanks to the success they've seen across the internet, and fans are already suggesting the next characters they'd like to see.

Thanks to the wide breadth of the comic book genre along with hundreds of Pokémon, there are countless options for jaibrooklyn's next mash-up fan art. Previous suggestions for the creator have included Ditto as the shape-shifting Loki, the muscled Machamp as the Hulk, and even the web-shooting Caterpie as Spider-Man. Those awaiting more impressive crossover Pokémon fan art from the artist can keep up to date with their work on Reddit.
