Gregg Wallace loves to get into the Christmas Day spirit by cracking into alcoholic drinks at the crack of dawn – popping open a bottle at 6:30am.
And perhaps as should be expected, the 57-year-old Masterchef star has revealed he munches his way through seven cooked meats and five pudding options on the big day.
While most of us love nothing more than toasting Christmas Day with a tipple or two before, and after gorging on a huge festive meal, the TV star says he can’t wait to get going on the morning of December 25th.
The star and his Italian wife Anne-Marie enjoy spending the day together and dining with their in-laws – while the star chef himself claims he does none of the cooking.
Speaking to The Radio Times, he said: “We have our first drink when opening presents at about 6.30am.
“I do drinks while Anna and her mum do the food. I don’t even suggest helping out. My wife chooses not to work and says, ‘If it’s inside the front door, darling, it’s my responsibility
“It’s a matriarchal household and every year I buy one present for my wife and she buys all the others. She takes charge of everything.”
The dad-of-three went on: “Christmas in my house is huge. Anna is Christmas-crazy. We had seven trees last year.”
Gregg has been married to fourth wife Anna, 36, since 2016 and together they have a two-year-old son named Sid.
The TV star also has tow other children, a son named Tom and a daughter named Libby, from his second marriage to a pastry chef named Denise.
He was married to the fellow cook in 1999 but separated in 2004 and then divorced.
Gregg’s first marriage was to a woman named Christine – but the marriage crumbled just six weeks after their 1991 nuptials.
And his third marriage, to a wife named Heidi, lasted for 15 months after they tied-the-knot in 2010.
Gregg met current wife Anne-Marie over Twitter in 2013 and tied-the-knot in August 2016 – with fellow Masterchef star John Torode performing best man duties.
While Gregg recently revealed he has taken several of his wives to Sri Lanka on their honeymoon.
In recent years, Gregg has been turning heads as he has transformed his body from flabby to fit – turning into a ripplingly muscled gym god after doctors warned him he was at risk of a heart attack due to his weight.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain earlier this year, he said: "The doctor said you have huge cholesterol here, unless you do something you're going to have a heart attack.
"I went on a weight loss and fitness site and in there I tell you how I went from the guy on the left hand side of the screen [to the one on the right]. I'm 56 years old what do you think guys."
