When Gen Z declared that skinny jeans were over, I was honestly relieved. I have very muscular calves, and getting my legs into skinny jeans was a struggle that I'm way too familiar with. Although I was initially on board, I later realized that I may have been too quick to toss my skinny jeans into the donation pile. Why, you ask? Well, in the colder months, I love wearing knee-high boots with sweaters, and you know what doesn't fit inside knee-high boots? Wide-leg jeans. In an effort to replenish my skinny-jean arsenal and find a few pairs that even Gen Z would approve of, I tried out three pairs from Good American.

This was my first time trying out Good American denim, and I have to admit, they are impressive. All of the jeans I tested have a gap-proof waistband, which is a feature I've never experienced before but one that I can really appreciate. Yes, that means not having a gap in between my back and pants when I bend down or issues with having to constantly pull my pants up because the waistband continually stretches out. You can sign me up. Keep scrolling to see the skinny-jean picks that have now earned a front-row spot in my closet.

Good Legs Coated Jeans

This pair of Good American Good Legs Coated Jeans ($169) is probably the most versatile pair of denim I've ever owned. I love coated denim because it fakes the look of a more expensive leather pant without being stiff and uncomfortable or too hot. I've been wearing this pair with everything from black bodysuits and heels to plain T-shirts and sneakers. Regardless of what I choose to style these pants with, wearing these jeans has been an easy way to elevate any look.

Everyone needs a perfect pair of light-wash denim, and these Good American Good Legs Destroyed Hem Jeans ($102, originally $145) are absolutely perfect. The wash is better than anything I could have even dreamed up, and these pants honestly work with everything in my closet. I also love that these jeans have a little bit of distressing but not too much. They're appropriate for heading out to work or even to a Saturday brunch with girlfriends. Personally, I love styling these with a graphic tee and my favorite white sneakers.

Good Waist Slit Waistband Jeans

I didn't think I would ever be a fan of cutout denim until I tried these Good American Good Waist Slit Waistband Jeans ($149). The tiny cutout in the waistband is subtle but sexy, and it gives these jeans a look that sets them apart from any pants I've owned before. I've worn this pair with a bodysuit so the cutouts don't show at all, but I've also worn them with a cropped sweater where the cutouts are on full display. Either way, these jeans offer such a fun look no matter how you decide to style them.
