Is there anything cuter than the friendship between Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet? All signs point to no!
The Dune stars have nothing but love for one another, as evident by their light roasting of celebrity crushes and perfectly coordinated red carpet style. Now, in a new interview with E! News, Z and Timmy chatted about the origin of their friendship — and where they see it going in the future.
While talking with E!, Zendaya confessed that she felt a little intimidated walking onto the set of Dune, but Timothée helped make it a welcoming and warm environment. “I had an incredible time, and I sure hope that we get to do more of it because selfishly, I just want to have fun,” she said, adding that she knew immediately that she and Timothée would be “friends for life.” We can totally see it.
For his part, Timothée praised Z’s fashion style, telling E! that she’s been “killing it” during the Dune press tour — and we 100% have to agree.
This isn’t the first time the pair has gushed over their newly formed friendship. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Zendaya described bcoming “very close with Timothée” early on in the filming process. “We were like, 'Oh, this is great, we're gonna be besties, I can tell.’” We really do love to see it!
Dune, based on the 1965 science fiction novel of the same name by Frank Herbert, is the first of a planned two-part film adaptation from director Denis Villeneuve. It also stars Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem, and more. Dune is available to watch in theaters now, and also via streaming on HBO Max.
