• Blake Shelton released a new single, “Come Back As A Country Boy”.
  • To commemorate the moment, the singer is asking his fans to post photos and tag him along with the hashtag #ComeBackAsACountryBoy.
  • To get the ball rolling, he shared a video of photos of himself as a baby up into his teens.

Blake Shelton is the latest singer to take on the topic of death.

In his new single, “Come Back As A Country Boy,” Blake sings about if he dies, he'd like to come back in another life as a "country boy" because "there ain't no better life." And, if his YouTube and Instagram have anything to show of it, it’s that people all over the world are loving the sentiment and the song.

Still, having just come out at the beginning of October, Blake is still spreading the word for his new song. To continue the hype around it, he took to Instagram on Saturday, October 9, to reveal photos of himself as a young country boy, and to inspire others to share their own pictures and stories.

“Use #ComeBackAsACountryBoy and its sound to show off your roots,” his team (who sometimes runs his account) urged followers in the caption, reminding them to tag Blake in their posts.

Despite the lyrics of his new song in the background, all anyone could seem to focus on was how cute Blake was as a little kid. “What a cute country boy,” one fan commented. “What a cutie! Then and now,” someone else wrote. “You’re just as adorable now as you were then,” another fan swooned.

Of course, some fans eventually began to acknowledge his song, too.

“Love the pics! You still look the same! And the song is a definite #1,” someone else wrote, taking the time to applaud his new tune. “I love every note you sing, every joke you make, and everyone you help,” another Instagram user wrote. “I was at the concert at the Van Andel in Grand Rapids when you debuted this song! It’s awesome and I was so happy we heard it first,” someone else added.

New pictures and sounds to feast on courtesy of Blake? We’re most definitely fans, too.
