Congratulations are in order for Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker. The couple announced their engagement on Sunday evening when Kardashian posted an Instagram of herself embracing Barker on the beach as waves crashed in the background, the two surrounded by a hedge of red roses and hurricane candles. The caption? “Forever.”
After the proposal, the couple gathered with the Kardashian family for a celebratory dinner. Kylie, Kim, and Kendall all posted Instagram Stories of Kourtney’s diamond ring as she embraced Barker at the table. E! News reports that the dinner—as well as the proposal—took place at the Rosewood Miramar hotel in Montecito, California.
It was a busy weekend for the couple, who were in New York on Saturday night where Barker joined Young Thug for his Saturday Night Live performance. (For her part, Kardashian wielded the drumsticks backstage.)
Kardashian and Barker were first romantically linked in January 2021 after a years-long friendship, and have swiftly become an Internet obsession (as well as couples’ style inspiration). In May, after a trip to Disneyland together (and after Barker got the words “I love you” tattooed in Kardashian’s handwriting), Barker wrote on Instagram that Kardashian was the “love of my life.” And now it’s official.
