Nick Cannon has a lot to be excited about right now. For starters, The Masked Singer remains incredibly popular, with the ninth season having premiered this past February, which, honestly, help. Second, he’s the proud father of 12 cute kids! Nick has made a lot of headlines for welcoming multiple children from different relationships in the past year, but there’s no need to side-eye or judge. Nick just isn’t into monogamy—but he is into having a big, happy, blended family.
“I’m having these kids on purpose,” Nick recently said on Power 106. “I didn’t have no accident. [There were] a lot of people that I could’ve gotten pregnant that I didn’t. You only live once.”
The host has also spoken candidly about not being in a monogamous relationship, explaining on ExpediTIously, “I knew I would never get married again once I stepped away from that. That construct is not designed for me. I gave it my all because even before that, I didn’t believe in marriage, but shit, it was Mariah Carey. Whatever she say, I’m with it! If I’mma marry somebody, I’mma marry her.”
Obviously, Nick and Mariah are no longer together, but Nick does appear to be in several committed co-parenting relationships, so we’re taking a look at his dating history right now. TBH, it’s not that complicated!
Bre Tiesi: TBD to TBD
This one is a bit more of a doozy because Nick and Bre seem to have known each other for well over 10 years from the real estate agent’s Wild ’n Out days. Since then, the two have shared an on-and-off relationship that was briefly put on pause during the time she was married to former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel (the former couple got married in March 2018 and their divorce was finalized in November 2021).
Bre had her and Nick’s first child, Legendary Love Cannon, in June 2022 during an all-natural birth and she subsequently opened up about her and the rapper’s relationship to E! Online’s Daily Pop (via People).
“I just respect and love who he is so much as a person. I thought about, Do I want my son to be this person? Look at your characteristics, look at your personality, look at how you treat people.” Since then, the two continue to be in each other’s lives, with the reality TV star even defending Nick after her Selling Sunset costars questioned her relationship. Honestly? Good for her!
Alyssa Scott: TBD to 2021
Nick and model Alyssa Scott welcomed a son named Zen in June 2021, who sadly died just five months later in December 2021.
That month, the talk-show host shared that Zen died from brain cancer, revealing that shortly after his birth, doctors discovered a fluid buildup inside his head in addition to a tumor that required brain surgery. Unfortunately, around Thanksgiving 2021, the “tumor began to grow a lot faster.”
“We were faithful and hopeful for that time,” Nick said on The Nick Cannon Show. “We carried on, he was still just playing with his brothers and sisters, I embraced every moment.”
A year later, the couple announced that they were expecting their second baby together with a series of maternity photos and a painting that Alyssa posted of the two of them to commemorate the pregnancy.
And December 2022, they welcomed their new baby, who is truly beyond adorable:
Abby De La Rosa: 2020 to 2021
Nick and Abby welcomed twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir in June 2021, a few months after Abby opened up about her and Nick’s relationship in a since-deleted Instagram post:
“In 2020…[we] reconnected. Never would I have ever envisioned where we are at now. This isn’t a BS ‘love’ story, it’s a REAL story. His openness and honesty won my heart, but above anything, he is my dearest friend and my partner [in] this world of mine. He changed my life in all the most unconventional ways, inspiring me to open my mind to the unknown when it came to loving outside of ‘labels’ and ‘ownership.’”
Lanisha Cole: 2017 and 2020
Nick and model Lanisha Cole dated in 2017 and again in 2020 but appear to have broken up as of 2021.
Jessica White: 2015 to 2020
Nick and model Jessica White have dated on and off, and Jessica recently implied that Nick wasn’t forthcoming about Brittany Bell’s pregnancy (more on that in a second). “She was aware that I just had a miscarriage two weeks prior to her news coming out because he told me that he told her,” she said on Hollywood Unlocked back in January. “I was living at his house, and she knew that as well. But I found out on Instagram along with the rest of the world.”
Brittany Bell: 2014 to 2020
Nick and Brittany were dating on and off since his first split from Mariah Carey in 2014. In 2017, they welcomed a son named Golden, and in 2020, they welcomed a daughter named Powerful Queen.
Mariah Carey: 2008 to 2016
Nick and Mariah got married in 2008 and had twins Moroccan and Monroe in 2011. They split in 2014, then reunited, but they officially divorced in 2016. They’ve remained on decent terms ever since and they co-parent their kids!
Selita Ebanks: 2007
Nick and Selita were engaged for five months in 2007, and even though their relationship was relatively short-lived, they definitely had time to do the red carpet thing:

Kim and Nick dated in 2006, shortly after her relationship with Ray J ended. Apparently, they got together after meeting on the set of Moesha, where Kim was styling Brandy.
Christina Milian: 2003 to 2005
Nick and Christina worked together on Love Don’t Cost a Thing and dated for about two years, until she accused him of cheating. Back in 2019, Christina claimed to find texts that proved Nick was unfaithful, telling E! News:
“When I was dating Nick Cannon, the password somehow worked on the first check, and I was right. And the next thing you know, I was reading for, like, a month. I was reading messages. I was stuck in Romania. I had time.…I’m going to get my intel, make sure that this is for real for real and it was for real, so it was enough.…So I wanted to be able to see him in person, go over it—not like it would change anything—but part of me was like, he was kind of, like, my first love at the time. It was unreal that it was happening. He was living at my house. Wait, under my roof, this is happening? It just kind of blew me away.”
Nick responded to the allegations on the Power 106 radio show, musing, “I don’t think I did anything wrong,” and saying, “I wasn’t cheating…you got to be in a relationship to cheat.”
Yikes! Anyway, Nick is clearly an amazing dad to his kids, and the specifics of his current relationship status are probably no one’s business but his!
