Coronation Street star Sally Carman has revealed that she wouldn’t want to work with her co-star lover Joe Duttine ever again – because he makes her laugh so much!

Actress Sally, who plays Abi Franklin in the hit ITV soap, got engaged to her Corrie co-star Joe last year.

Joe plays Tim Metcalfe in the northern soap, but Sally said the bouts of the giggles were just too much to bear when the pair were on set together.

"I don't work with him that much and I really don't want to work with him,” admitted Sally in an exclusive interview with the Daily Star.

“No! I never want to work with him ever again. I just can't do it!

"It's because he makes me laugh it's horrendous. He's the funniest man I've ever met, to the point where I get sweaty and everyone's like 'ugh, can you just get on with it?”

Sally, 40, has starred in Corrie since October 2017 and it was on the show that she met now fiancée Joe, 51.

But the pair have faced some strange situations on set, especially being in onscreen relationships with other people.

However, Sally stressed that those awkward scenes are like “cutting potatoes to make chips”, adding “that’s how unsexy it is”.

The couple had been planning a wedding for this year but have temporarily postponed it because of coronavirus restrictions.

And it is expected to be a star-studded bash with Sally having revealed that “of course the people from Corrie are invited”.

The look of love for Corrie's cute couple

Corrie recently scooped Best Serial Drama at the National Television Awards and Sally was happy to tease fans with some exciting new storylines in the pipeline.

She joked that there’s “lots of beans coming up, some beans that could be something you’ve never seen before from Coronation Street ”.

Sally’s revelations comes after it was recently revealed the star was “badly ill” with Covid for a month.

And she admitted her illness caused her to miss out on filming key scenes for the show.

“So, there was no-one else on the courtroom set with me apart from Mike Le Vell.”
