As the name suggests, Aviator is all about aviation, with nods to plane travel coming from all directions. Its setting, for a start, is right beside Farnborough Airport. Stanwell House, Lymington
Following a recent refurbishment, Stanwell House is now one of the most stylish places to stay in Hampshire. The Georgian property is in the coastal town of Lymington on the Solent, the perfect base for exploring both the New Forest and the Isle of Wight – regular ferry services run from its port to the historic town of Yarmouth, in the west of the island.

The East End Arms, Lymington
For a Hampshire stay run by rock royalty, check in to the East End Arms, a pub with rooms that’s been owned by a member of Dire Straits since the early Nineties. The traditional drinking den is in Lymington, with house ales from the Ringwood Brewery and a wine list overseen by the local oenophiles at the Solent Cellar.
