The young company will benefit from Australia and New Zealand's highly effective containment of COVID-19, which has allowed film production to resume at a large scale down under.

Marc Wooldridge, former head of 20th Century Fox Film Distribution in Australia, on Wednesday launched Maslow Entertainment, a startup film distribution and production company based in Sydney.

“The pace of change within the industry has clearly been accelerated by recent events," Wooldridge said in a statement."While the appetite for entertainment continues to grow, technology’s influence on production, promotion and distribution means it makes sense to consider different ways of doing things and Maslow is definitely up for the challenge," he added.

But Maslow also aims to become a go-to production and development partner for the local industry —"by encouraging earlier, more in-depth interaction between the commercial and creative sides of the process," he says. The young company also will benefit from Australia and New Zealand's highly effective containment of COVID-19, which has allowed film production to resume at a large scale down under.
