Perrie Edwards Announced She’s Pregnant, Expecting First Child With Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

It looks like another Little Mix is on the way — Perrie Edwards announced that she’s pregnant! On May 10, the Little Mix singer revealed she is expecting her first child with her partner, Liverpool footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Perrie made her announcement via Instagram, posting two adorable black and white pictures of her stomach and of her and Alex. “So happy to be on this wild journey with my soulmate,” she wrote. “Me + Him = You 🌎♥️We can’t wait to meet you baby Ox!” As you can imagine, the news of her pregnancy drew a number of congratulatory comments from people across the world, including Little Mix members Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and other celebs including Zara Larsson and Chloe Bailey.

Alex, who has been with Perrie since the beginning of 2017, posted the photos on his own Instagram with the caption: "Anyone got any advice on how to change nappies? so grateful and excited to become a dad. bring on the sleepless nights."

As to be expected, fans are beside themselves with glee at Perrie’s pregnancy announcement, especially since she is the second member of Little Mix to reveal that she is pregnant in under a week. Leigh-Anne Pinnock told the world on May 4, 2021, that she was expecting a child with fiancé Andre Gray, who is also a professional footballer and plays for Watford.

Leigh-Anne commented on Perrie's news, “Arghhhhhhhh so so so happy for you both! And so bloody happy we get to go on this journey together! Love you so much.”\

As the girl group continues to make waves with their new Saweetie collab, “Confetti,” congratulations are in order for everyone, and we wish both Perrie and Leigh-Anne a happy and healthy pregnancy journey.
