Fort Worth police arrested two people on murder charges in connection to the slaying of a 23-year-old woman who went missing in late November. Zyria Morris, ...

Fleming’s body was found Dec. 30 by land surveyors near a drainage culvert on the side of Interstate 35 northbound Frontage Road in Gainesville. Her decomposed body was wrapped in a blanket and bound with duct tape and plastic wrap, and her head was detached from her body, according to the affidavit.

Fort Worth investigators believe Fleming was killed inside Morris’ apartment in the 3300 block of Las Vegas Trail around Nov. 29, according to the affidavit. Three bullet holes were found in the bedroom, and a blanket that looked like the one found wrapped around Fleming’s body was also found inside the home, the affidavit said.

Morris told detectives they were drinking and tried to watch the football game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals, which happened on Nov. 28.Her sister told police that Fleming may have been “having trouble” with Morris, based on a text she’d received that day, the affidavit said. Another family member told police that Morris and Fleming met while in the foster care system, but the two “really [were] not very close,” the affidavit said.
