When Peach County, Georgia flight nurse Britta Thomason recently revealed in an interview that she’s a hard-core Swiftie, she had no idea that the news would result in a handwritten note and bulging gift box from her favorite singer.
“I mentioned in a recent news article with The Telegraph & macon.com that I am a big Taylor Swift fan…and this showed up at work today!!,” Thomason wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday (April 13).
“I’ve always seen videos of her fans opening packages she sent them but never did I EVER think I would be one of them! I’m not one to fangirl about anything, but if you know me, you know I’m a Swiftie! Don’t mind me…I’ll be crying the rest of the day Taylor, thank you!”
The post included a copy of the note and a video of Thomason saying she could hardly stand to read the message from Taylor without crying and then marveling as she unpacked the swag box, which was stuffed with t-shirts, water bottles, guitar picks, sweaters and other merch.

“Dear Britta, I wanted to write to you and personally thank you for serving on the front lines of this pandemic and for being brave enough to put yourself in danger to help others,” Swift wrote in the note, which Billboard confirmed was sent by the singer. “I am so inspired by your passion for helping and caring for your patients and I was so touched that you mentioned liking my music recently! I’ve sent you some cozy clothes for when you’re off duty. I’ll be thinking about you, and forever grateful! Love, Taylor.”
It’s the latest act of kindness from Swift, who has a well-established reputation for sending special gifts to superfans and friends, and it came after Thomason told her hometown paper about her passion for helping people and for Swift. “I love Taylor Swift,” she said in the interview. “I am a Swiftie. I won’t deny it.”
