Ioan Gruffudd has reportedly filed for divorce from his wife Alice Evans after the fallout of their split.
The Hollywood power couple were married for 13 years after they tied the knot in 2007.
Now Ioan, 47, has reportedly filed the legal papers to get a divorce from his wife Alice, 49, at Los Angeles Superior Court, according to The Blast.
At home, they raise their daughters Ella, 11, and Elsie, seven, together.
No further details have emerged.
Their split started to play out on social media in January when Alice begun confiding in her followers online.
It led to weeks of speculation.
Previously, Alice had told her Instagram followers the couple were having conversations about a legal separation.
Previously, Alice said the couple have decided to remain friends after their split.
She wrote: "Thank you for your kind comments. As for the unkind ones, I get it.
"It must be weird to comprehend why somebody would share their pain on social media rather than with their nearest and dearest.
"I get that. You must think I’m an a**hole. I’m not though.
"I don’t have a mum, or a dad. I don’t have any close friends in LA. I’ve looked after my kids for half their lives alone. My husband knows that.
"We are indeed discussing legal separation, but we are still friends. You can say what you want about me being an attention seeker but you know it’s not true.
"You just want a reason to put me down. Please - go ahead. I’m impenetrable."
Recently, the couple sent shockwaves through the showbiz world with the announcement of their split.
Their joint statement read: "As you can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult time for our family and we remain committed to our children. Thank you for respecting our privacy."
Their love story has come to an end after many years together.
