The Masked Singer bosses have confirmed Alan Carr is joining the panel as a guest judge – and fans can't wait.

He will be trying to guess the celebs alongside Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan, Jonathan Ross, and Davina McCall next weekend.

Next Saturday's show already looks like one viewers can't afford to miss.

There are set to be two eliminations – and that means two more celebs will be unmasked.

The Chatty Man's guest judging stint was confirmed by his appearance in a preview for next weekend's episode, which aired at the end of last night's show.

Alan is said to be a huge fan of the show and was desperate to be involved.

Fans will be watching to see how the funnyman gets on with Badger, Blob, Dragon, Harlequin, Robin, Sausage and Viking all under threat.

They took to twitter to celebrate the news that there will be a new face trying to work out the star's identity.

"Alan Carr is MADE for the Masked Singer I tell you!" one beamed.

Another posted: "Must watch next week now Alan Carr is going to be brilliant!"

A third commented: "Alan Carr's yelp in next week's reveal already looks like the TV highlight of the year #MaskedSingerUK"

The judges need some help if last night's evidence is anything to go by.

When the mask came off, Bush Baby was unveiled as actor John Thompson – and none of them got it right.

But Jonathan claimed: "I said you early on! But it made sense because of the drumming, but then I realised some of the clues I should picked up on, because of course, Please Release Me, that was the theme from The Fast Show!"

Asked why he wanted to do the show, John yelled: "Why not!"

Now all eyes are on next week's huge show as Alan joins the panel with two stars set to say goodbye.

The Masked Singer continues on Saturday January 30 on ITV.
