An American Green Beret was killed in action in Afghanistan on Monday, the first U.S. combat death since President Donald Trump decided to call off peace talks with the Taliban earlier this month.

Owen Ray, commander, 1st Special Forces Group , in a statement."He was a warrior - an accomplished, respected and loved Special Forces Soldier that will never be forgotten.
