This weekend, Selma Blair gave fans a glimpse into her past with an iconic throwback photo from the early 2000s. As you can already glean from the headline, the flashback features a young Blair with a hair color we're not used to seeing on her: cotton candy pink.

It's true, folks. The 48-year-old actor, who's currently sporting a badass bowl cut, once had pastel pink hair — and it seriously worked on her. Alongside the old photo, Blair wrote: "Pink hair Blair was my favorite hair of all. Todd Solondz sat with me while my long long brown hair was cut and bleached and pinked and rinsed. I had my friends in the city and I was shooting a movie for Todd Solondz. I was really living... and with cotton candy hair... it suited me. I found it very elegant. Pink hair Blair. For Todd. #flashbackfriday."

The film that Blair is referring to is none other than Storytelling, which hit screens in 2001. She played the lead role of Vi — a creative college student whose hair was painted a faded pink hue. Naturally, fans flooded the comment section of Blair's post, leaving messages like: "I remember her!" "Pink 👏 Hair 👏 Blair❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️! " and "😍I love Pink Hair Blair!!💓✨"

We love pink hair Blair, too, of course. Who knows: Maybe all of the love on her post will prompt the brunette to try pink hair again someday. In the meantime, though, we're all about the rich, espresso brown shade that she's been repping since spring.
