Ariana Grande Teases the Word “Positions” Ahead of Album Release

Earlier this week, Ariana Grande casually announced that she intends to drop a new album this month (that’s my kind of October surprise, TBQH). But it wouldn’t be a true Ari project without a slew of clues and hints, and the singer-songwriter is already at it, teasing what many fans think might be the title of her first single…or the album itself.

On Saturday, October 17, Ariana shared a video of what looks like her hand typing on a neon green keyboard. If you follow the letters, you’ll notice that she’s spelling out the word “positions,” with slowed-down music playing in the background.

Unsurprisingly, fans soon had a field day with the clue, with some wondering if “Positions” might be the name of the album’s lead single. Other fans asked if the word was actually the title of #AG6, another likely possibility.

There’s no word yet on a release date for Ariana’s forthcoming music, but the singer-songwriter did give a subtle hint that a lead single will drop ahead of the full album. As noted by Pop Crave, Ari liked a tweet from a fan that prompted: “Like this if you’re dropping a single before the album.”

Ariana first announced her upcoming album on October 14 with a surprise-tweet reading, “I can’t wait to give you my album this month.” And while she had previously hinted that she was working on new music, confirmation of the project all but sent the internet into an excited frenzy, with many saying that the singer was on her way to save 2020.

We’ll definitely be keeping our eyes out for more clues from Ariana, as we wouldn’t be surprised to see a few more tricks up her sleeve this month.
