Five more elephants have died after falling from a waterfall in Khao Yai National Park in Thailand, bringing the total dead to 11.
Drone footage showed five more bodies in the same ravine where six elephants had died earlier, Nakhon Nayok Gov. Natthapong Sirichana said Tuesday. On Saturday, five adult elephants stumbled into the ravine in what authorities said was an attempt to free a 3-year-old calf stuck in another part of the Haew Narok waterfall. All of them died after falling from the nearly 500-foot waterfall. It's the country's biggest loss of wild elephants in a national park, officials said.
ThomasJGrey1 That’s so sad!!
Why don’t they do something to stop this?
Oh noooooo...😭😭😭😭😢
Stop!!!!!
What did they know about the Clinton’s
So the elephant population is dropping in Thailand? 🤔
As heartbreaking as this is, it pales in comparison to what humans have done to elephants. Hundreds of thousands lost at the hands of butchers, but where is the sadness for them? Man is far more cruel than nature. These died trying to save one of their own, willingly!
So sad.
Were they forced in any way? by poachers?
If they were only Ewoks 😅
11 people fall off a waterfall I'm upset. 11 elephants fall off a waterfall I'm truly devastated.
Maybe they aren’t so smart after all.
This so sad :( poor elephants
Oh my god Poor creatures
