Of course Lizzo came dressed in her finest for one of the biggest nights of her career. The singer, who has a whooping eight nominations tonight, walked the Grammy Awards red carpet wearing a white Versace slit gown with a shawl and matching purse. The dress is sleeveless, with a sexy high-leg slit. Lizzo wore her hair down and accessorized with a diamond necklace and earrings. This is her first time attending the Grammys.

Lizzo is nominated for Record of the Year ("Truth Hurts"), Album of the Year (Cuz I Love You Deluxe), Song of the Year ("Truth Hurts"), Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance ("Truth Hurts"), Best R&B Performance ("Exactly How I Feel"), Best Traditional R&B Performance ("Jerome"), and Best Urban Contemporary Album (Cuz I Love You (Deluxe).

Rolling Stone interviewed Lizzo ahead of the big ceremony, and she discussed how she felt about "Truth Hurts" when she first created it—long before it took off when it featured in the Netflix movie Someone Great. “It was the first song that was like, ‘Oh, this is a cool song,’” she said. “Most of my rap songs were so lyrical spherical, you know? [On ‘Truth Hurts’] I’m doing that rap-singing thing and the beat was lit. I was proud of it. I could play it for my friends back home in Houston.”

Of "Truth Hurts" and "Good as Hell" taking off years after she made them, Lizzo said, “When we were making it we knew it was ahead of its time. Now we have the proof that these songs are timeless. They will connect when they need to connect.”
