John Legend is performing at the Grammys tonight, and ahead of his big number, he and his wife Chrissy Teigen walked the red carpet of the Los Angeles ceremony. He looked dapper in a gray suit, while she went bright in an orange dress. This is the couple's first big red carpet event of the new year. They were affectionate in front of the cameras.
Legend has two nominations tonight, one for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album (A Legendary Christmas) and one for Best Rap/Sung Performance ("Higher"). He has won 10 Grammys so far and has received 31 nominations in his career.
The actress told Vanity Fair in an October profile about the couple that she understands some people may find her and Legend to be bothersome, but she doesn't dwell on it unless she's very in her head. She started by saying she understands the sentiment because she feels that way about other couples. “There are some famous couples I look at and I’m like, ‘Ugh, we get it. Stop trying so hard, you’re so lame,’" she said. "I think people definitely think that about us but…that’s because I think of everything.”
