When feisty Maura Higgins announced she fancied nice guy Curtis Pritchard on Love Island, it was a match few saw coming.

But six months on and they're just one of two surviving couples from the class of 2019, with Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury also still going strong.

But it's not been smooth sailing for Dancing On Ice star Maura and her boyfriend, with the duo facing issues that have seen off many a villa coupling.

And just this weekend The Greatest Dancer receptionist Curtis was forced to deny cheating on Maura with another woman on New Year's Eve.

The reality star was allegedly caught in a 'passionate clinch' with a mystery female at a nightclub in High Wycombe where he's been starring in panto.

In a video obtained by The Sun, Curtis was seen with his arms around the woman at O'Neill's bar, with a supposed onlooker claiming: "He started embracing her, in the full view of the entire club. It was quite shocking given we all knew he had a girlfriend.

"But in that moment he obviously didn’t care who saw him."

A representative for Curtis strongly denied the cheating allegations, but it's not the first hurdle he and Maura have been faced with.

There's also the issue of distance, with Curtis hailing from Nantwich, Cheshire while Maura lives in Ireland.

Admitting they struggle to find time to see each other, he recently told Mail Online: "We haven't had time to spend with everyone, and Maura. I haven't seen Maura in a little bit.

"We're lucky because we have mobile phones so we can stay in contact so easily but it is a shame."

And while Maura also admitted that they barely get to see each other, she vowed there would be 'no second chances' if Curtis played away during their time apart.

She told Grazia: "Obviously, we're going to be busy now, but I feel like if we both like each other enough we will make time for each other."

She continued: "I'm not a girl to be on edge all the time thinking, 'I wonder what he's doing?'

"I trust someone until they do me wrong, and if they do me wrong, that's it. There are no second chances with me. You're gone."

After spending Christmas and NYE apart, Maura and Curtis finally managed to reunite on New Year's Day for a sexy hotel break.

Maura shared a picture of Curtis enjoying a steamy bath while she sipped a glass of red wine, and gushed to heat magazine about their relationship just days later.

"Oh my God, he's just amazing. He's very, very kind," she enthused.

"It was my birthday recently and he was giving me like, presents every day for the entire week before. No boyfriend has ever done anything like that for me before. It was very special and very thoughtful of him."

Indeed, Curtis said Maura was nothing but supportive when he revealed he would be open to dating a man.

Refusing to label him sexuality, he told Good Morning Britain: "Things like that change all the time. They don't need to be labelled. As long as you are happy at that moment in time then be happy.

"We have spoken about it and we're more than happy with how we are in our relationship and it's going in the right direction.

"I can see a future with her. Who knows when... if we have kids if we get married or what's what."

As for their bedroom antics, after refusing to get intimate in the villa, Curtis has said he's definitely giving Maura her "flutters" now.

"It's human nature to go down that route. But things are 'ten out of ten' in her words," he said in August.
