Robin Williams, who was born on July 21, 1951, broke through in “Mork and Mindy” but the small screen couldn’t contain this comedic giant.

Williams, who died in 2014, could do drama just as well as comedy. In real life he was a great interview giving quotable quips in a torrent. He was one of the more memorable interviews for this reporter even with press for such forgettable films as “Bicentennial Man.”
