Emmabarnett Let's be clear, the Police are apologising for the comments, the search was completely justified.
Emmabarnett She was obviously a spirited young lady with intelligence. The police officers used their position of power to humiliate her. This in turn made them feel less insecure. She probably didn't smell anyway.
Emmabarnett and yet recently a woman in Wales was arrested for putting up posters about male violence against women. We know which side the police continue to be on.
Emmabarnett Shouldn’t those police officers ALL have been sacked? It is after all an act of indecent verbal violence
Emmabarnett So, a woman refuses to give a name or other details to police for some minor offence, has to be arrested, bound by hands & feet, pinned to the floor by female officers! clothing cut off! subjected to degrading, sexualised insults by male & female officers? Frightening!
Emmabarnett The sad thing is that my first thought about the knickers comment was that it is a playground thing ..which demonstrates how young this behaviour begins! Teach them young and call out the others.
