Analysis by Sky News finds that 97.2% of workers in agricultural, forestry and fishing are white, excluding seasonal workers, making it the least diverse job sector in the country

A new scheme has been launched to encourage more British students from ethnic minorities to enter farmingThe Royal Agricultural University is launching a new scholarship scheme to encourage more British students from ethnic minorities to enter the farming sector.

Analysis by Sky News has found that 97.2% of workers in agricultural, forestry and fishing are white, excluding seasonal workers, making it the least diverse job sector in the country. He said:"We definitely think there needs to be space for everyone to play a part in agriculture in the land-based sector."If we can educate more people, train more people from a broader range of backgrounds, then they'll be more people available in the future who've got the skills and qualifications and interests to make a difference in that sector and jobs.

"I think we also know, let's be realistic, that the land-based sector is a rural sector, and we also know nationally that ethnic minorities are more often in urban areas and that also plays a big role."Firstly, rural parts of the country are far less diverse. But there are some who believe that more should be done to ensure those from ethnic minorities view farming as an accessible job.

In other news, 100% of haribo are haribo

If I had £10 million in the bank if not be thinking let's buy a farm and I'm white even 🤦‍♀️

Maybe it’s because farmers take over farms from their families & workers tend to have a farming background & stay in the countryside🤷‍♂️

As it ever occurred to you that not everything is down to colour and race. Just maybe only whites want the work!

So what......Sky News is scrapping the bottom of the race baiting barrel.....

In a disgusting show of endemic racism, fishermen in northern Greenland have been found to be 100% Inuit. Not one Ethiopian goat herder amongst them.

And roughly 55% of doctors are white. Do we need a push for more white doctors so that it reflects society better?

Great country unless you are white English. You have to pay for everything

Cos uk Used To be a white country maybe ?

Have you thought they may not want to do it?

What about undertakers?

AND

And cue quotas

One more box ticked eh sly ✅

Does race have to be dragged into everything. At least there are some wimminz farmers so you cant whinge about that as well.

Cheap labour, that's why .

What a waste of time and money.

So what? Has anybody of diversity applied for jobs in this sector? Maybe then they'll start screaming slave labour. Leave people alone

Of course they are, farming is hard work. Enough said.

I really don't care who farms the stuff I buy. As long as it farmed correctly. I'm confused. Are certain people being forced out of farming? Or is this to get people of other cultures to wanna be farmers? Let people who wanna be farmers be farmers.

Yes, Britain is a predominantly white nation, so certain sectors will be predominantly white. That’s simple logistics. I’m sure there are more black farmers in Kenya than there are white farmers. Where’s your headline for that? What a stupid fucking article.

Slow news day?

Sky News trying to create division. Since when did you go Woke Left?

How about you give us a breakdown of your workforce by ethnicity?

no shame have you.

What a load of fucking race-bait! Should be ashamed. People starving and living on the streets all colour and you're bothering to print this shite! World's fucked maybe black people get jobs elsewhere?

What they weren’t simply entitled to a 200 acre plus worth of land? And they didn’t have the right to refuse those little pigs Oink oink!! No pork available on this particular farm, a bacon ban if you like?

Please answer these questions: Why did you conduct this study and what were you hoping the results would achieve? Because if you read the replies you will see over and over again that no one really gives a feck.

Race hustling at its finest. Well done, Sky News.

Same reason Farming in Nigeria is predominantly Black! NotRocketScience

Change that to: Physical, dangerous and exposed jobs are undertaken by workers who are 97% White. Oh no. That now sounds almost unfair?

Looks a lot like those we are trying to integrate don’t like a lot like hard work

Anyone stopping a black person from getting up at silly o'clock to milk cows, feed cattle, herd sheep, plough fields and harvest fields for 16 hours a day should be reported for racism...🤨

Lol what a bs story. What percentage of farmers in China are Chinese?

Yes, they also had the same issues in South Africa and Zimbabwe and forced appropriation by taking over farms. Did wonders for their food supply and economy.

If you bothered reading the replies last time you posted this, you'll see that no-one cares. Stop fishing for problems where there isn't any. Shit stirrers

SKY FAKE NEWS wen there's no news, then make news?

Next you'll be saying how the farm animals aren't diverse enough... bugger off to some other planet.

Divisive Sky News

And the woke mind virus strikes again 🤔

There are less than 500,000 people directly employed in UK agriculture. Only 150,000 of those jobs are full time.

Such a non story … move on

Cut this racial bullshit of calling people white : Milk 🥛 🥛 🥛 is white but porky 🐷 🐷 🐷 🐷 is NOT white . People should never ever describe by racial slurs of White and Black. So fucking British and racist!

Because the farmers have been there for generations, the moneys shit, immigrants don’t want to move to the countryside with low job opportunities and they hardly arrive with a couple million in the bank to buy a farm.

Breaking News: 99.9% of Farmers in Nigeria are black.

Who cares?

Because the industries mentioned are in rural /coastal areas where the population is white working people.

Why can’t you people find something worthwhile to do with your lives? (I realise by replying to this I’m feeding your click bait addiction but sometimes ,,,,)

And? Why all of a sudden has being white become a problem? And why is it a problem in agriculture?

Yep worked in Zimbabwe the bread basket of Africa to. Just let people be. Articles like this create division but that's the media's job right, to instil division rather than togetherness.

More like Dan WANKHEAD

So what?

Why do the media insist on making people feel guilty or dirty for being white? Imagine using threads likes these about any other race.

You know you’ll eventually go bust if this is what you focus your efforts on. People already don’t trust you. Hopefully sooner rather than later 👍🏻

Maybe noone applied!!!!

Now do kebab shops

WatchRatio

Just when you thought Bulls**hitting garbge could get no worse IT DOES NOT LET YOU DOWN what a load of crp

Racist farming community. Analysis by Sky News also finds tha 97.2% of rappers are not white

And your point is

Oh FFS the white sheep will be the target soon, because they outnumber the black sheep.....

Faarrrk off with the diversity obsession

So that's the angle now!. British workers are all White supremacy is a project of colonization a project of 'appropriating a place or domain for ones use the problem now So all the illegal immigration and refugees cant get jobs

lemme guess, this sector now needs equalising? More divisive BS Hmm lets take a guess a potential reasons... 'Non whites' tend to live in urban areas, culture, some ethnicities favour becoming Dr's or going into entertainment or sport Its getting tiring tbh

On do shut up ,for goodness sake

And I should be concerned about this because?

What is Sky’s motive for this pointless announcement?

What BS is this, farming gets passed down through the generations nothing to do with diversity, I don't think there's anything stopping others getting into this industry, plus it's not very profitable industry for the commitment these guys put in🤦

Who cares? Stop trying to race bait

Another diversity red carpet in the making.😱

Oh, just f..ck off with this constant stirring and causing troubles. Can’t you just report news and be professional?

What can we do to get more of our home grown blacks into the field?

Is this is for real ? 😳

The obsession with 'inclusion' and 'diversity' is like some kind of creepy religious cult.

That’s what happens when your survey sample is predominantly sheep farmers in the Welsh valleys

As some one who comes from ethnic background, what exactly is you point. Are you now saying that there should be a quota for people of ethnic background in the farming industry, nothing stopping them going into farming it has nothing to do with colour.
