Brexit deal: Why does the DUP's opinion matter?

When the first deal was agreed, it included the backstop - the insurance policy to maintain a seamless border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland after Brexit happens.

The whole of the UK would leave the customs union - but EU customs procedures would still apply on goods coming into Northern Ireland from Great Britain in order to avoid checks at the Irish border. The revised protocol states Stormont would get a vote four years after the end of the transition period - so in 2024.

BBCPolitics A deal is a deal a vote is a vote & they still not happy DUP are you loosing to much money from your own pockets 🤑🤑

Great question!

They are the only ones with any back bone.

WHILE WE ARE STILL A DEMOCRACY, OF COURSE N IRELANDS OPINION MATTERS. The British people will never accept the annexation of N Ireland by the EU!!

But here's the thing bbcnews it's not the DUP's opinion, they didn't ask farmers, businesses, or the people what they wanted They asked the terrorists of the UDA & UDF what they wanted So why have you failed to report the outcome of Brexit & the UK is in the hands of terrorists

Because they are propping up a minority Government and they are Irish !

It doesn't, time to unite Ireland and ditch the money pit.

BBCPolitics Because the EU is scared of a few New IRA thugs.

Basically becaise they are blackmailing the UK with violence just as terrorists do... *if we don't get what we want, we can't guarantee peace will be upheld* The good Friday agreement should not be used as a tool to negotiate... peace should be the minimum we expect.

Because the shoe string majority on parliament is dependent on them. Or reason two the DUP have a direct link to some very unsavoury domestic terrorist.

It used to

NEVER NEVER NEVER!

It doesn't...
