Your questions answered on what type of mask to wear to cut the risk of getting Covid-19

Does it matter what sort of mask you wear? Yes. Different types of mask offer different levels of protection. Surgical grade N95 respirators offer the highest level of protection against Covid-19 infection, followed by surgical grade masks. However, these masks are costly, in limited supply, contribute to landfill waste and are uncomfortable to wear for long periods.

Nice bit of clickbait from hannahdev The short answer. No face mask protects you from covid. The whole point of facemask is to stop you passing it to someone else when you cough or sneeze by slowing the outbound aerosol radius You breath the in the same particles mask or not

Wouldn't know, I live in NZ never worn one, I didn't come out of lockdown until 21 days after the last Covid case was reported. Is the whole Covid thing still a thing elsewhere? I assume it must be, as lockdown seems to have been lifted and travel restrictions eased.

Who cares. The virus has a 99.9% survival rate. It's the common cold. The Guardian is FakeNews

Hay anything is better than nothing.

According to science, none:

Can't wear with glasses though. Get steamed up apparently.

this one

This is a new level of stupid, even for you. Masks are to protect OTHERS around you, not yourself.

You keep running this article but it is utterly useless. We have EN and BS numbers that describe what different masks are designed for; which EN number is better suited to Covid19? Of the masks easily available from hardware stores, are any of them useful? Print something useful.

How’s about losing some weight instead and getting fit. U.K. is a nation of slobs.

Probably a face mask dipped in pepper .. 😏

easy - those wont work for jays and fatty capitalistist in your country :D just remove them and you will have masks for everyone, trust me

Gas.

The best face mask is the one you're wearing

Why are you promoting confusion as to the point of wearing a mask? The idea is to protect *others*. How about an article on what type of mask to wear to cut the risk of giving others Covid-19?

Depends on how you wear/use it.

NONE !
