Although many disagree over its exact origins, it's safe to say that black pudding is a true British delicacy.
Having got it out the packet, it seemed to fairly similar to the rest, it felt soft like the others and had a similar brown colour. The only difference I noticed was it appeared quite chunky compared to the others. Going in filled with excitement and apprehension, Aldi did not disappoint - but when does it ever?
Perplexed by the cooking instructions, I was slightly apprehensive over tasting a boiled or steamed pudding, different to the crisp texture I am used to getting. I threw it into the microwave for two minutes covered in cling film, as per instructions, but I needn't have worried about the crispiness. It was crispy all right, and dare I say, TOO crispy.
