I have to say actually that the behaviour he is displaying is controlling behaviour. He is put out by the fact that you have not told him and wants to make sure that you feel bad about it by withdrawing his attention/love from you to make sure that you never do it again.
He's no intention of breaking up with you.. He's just trying to gain some control by making you sweat... He will the 'forgive' you and then he will have that to hold over you for all time. And you will feel like you have to tell him every little thing in future just in case he finds out.. Treading on eggshells over the tiniest thing.
Exactly this! My ex was very controlling and he behaved the same way. It becomes so exhausting over time when it keeps happening over things that anyone else wouldn’t even batter an eyelid at! It’s just a tactic to ensure you do not disobey him again. I would have a serious think about marrying him, if this is his behaviour now only a year in..
