Jeremy did that to himself.

Any labour leader is going to be targeted by the right wing press but Corbyn presented a very easy target and failed to mount an effective campaign to combat it. Wrong man at the wrong time.

It really didn’t. Voters did not like him or his policies

A politicians job is to manage a hostile press. This is another deflection if failure of leadership.

What cobblers. The man & chums gave them all the ammo, and the telly was kid gloves compared with the press. Anyway it's now irrelevant and the world has moved on. Long live New New Labour - PLEASE!

Hmm sounds familiar Hillary2016

Aye when Burly on Sky called Corbyn an Anti Semite live on Air with no Proof to back it up is your answer.

'shadow minister'...aka handler...aka puppet master

I read the guardian for the LOLS I wonder what % of your readership do too? guardian

I love the fact they are not learning from this hammering. The cult will lap this up and use it as an excuse. Never change Labour, never change

He did it to himself

Yet more ridiculous denial

You’ve all accepted the results of whatever happened to you on Friday. (Someone should really look into that bye). Why not just try, to umm, save your NHS.

If Labour is serious about challenging the tories in 2030, they should elect a leader who is pro-business and pro-israel. The media will fall in line.

...blame the media

Oh come on, let's not forget the villification of Corbyn in the print and internet media spearheaded by The Guardian, which appears to be engaged in a determined effort to whitewash its behaviour.

Red Wall voters saved Britain from Corbyn - Boris Johnson must see them rightTHE new Tory voters of Labour’s former “Red Wall” put their faith in Boris — and saved the nation from Corbyn. We owe them a debt the PM must repay. Labour took those “left-behind communities” for … Its mad to think Liverpool would have backed Boris if your paper backed Corbyn, I mean how pathetic can a city be? I used to like Liverpool now I despise them supporting a terrorists friend communist marxist scumbag. Liverpool has no friends now. youWILLwalkalone I’ve said this a couple of times now. Labour are finished. I don’t think they can ever regain their place in the political world. Not least because they will have nothing but scorn and bitterness in their hearts. People can see them now.

I saw for myself just how hostile many voters were to Jeremy CorbynThe Observer’s political editor found that, no matter how able the candidates, they couldn’t sell the party leadership on the doorstep I like Corbyn. He seems like a decent human. However, the democratic will of the people had to be honoured, Also, BorisJohnson is charismatic and that played a role. I may vote Labour again if it moves towards Blair's positions. CORBYN did nothing he’s a demagogue! He brought that on himself!

It’s curtains for the Corbyn clown show... and on TV the pundits are reeling'[Corbyn's supporters] quickly agreed the line to take. Simply: that Labour’s crushing defeat was all down to Brexit. Not anything else. Or anyone else. Just to make that clear,' writes MichaelPDeacon MichaelPDeacon Soon lost their 'momentum'. MichaelPDeacon Richard Burgon right now MichaelPDeacon Clearly Brexit was a major issue. An equally major issue was that the Labour party had no coherent policy on Brexit. Added to that their disdain for Great Britain, the British people, their views, their worries, and their single every election claim about the NHS. Unelectable.
