Well I think the problem is the USA hasn’t realized there is no “right side” in a CIVIL WAR & any intervention is seen as Imperialism & usually coalesces both sides against the interloper! i.e. Korea (a draw) Nam (a loss) Afghanistan ( a loss for both Russia & USA)
