Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and Cardi B all support the Democrat. But will US voters follow suit?

With just three weeks until the US presidential election, Democratic candidate Joe Biden seems to have cornered at least one constituency: celebrities.

And Dwayne Johnson - a self-described independent and now the most-followed American man on Instagram - made his first ever endorsement, saying in a video that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are "the best choice to lead our country". Celebrities playing a role in American politics isn't new, Ms Lawrence said. And this year's Democratic tilt isn't either.Celebrity Republicans tend to run for office, she said, pointing to President Ronald Reagan, former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and President Trump. Celebrity Democrats, instead, tend to stump for candidates.

Weren't these celebs supposed to be all leaving if Trump won in 2016,?

It won't help much, but better than no endorsement.

And this is on the ’UK’ page why?

Hugh Grant, Steve Coogan, Eddie Izzard......say no more.

With the way it flopped with Hillary, even the celebrities know it doesn't matter for bidden. They're just keeping safe

Of course it does. Too many stupid people who can't even do their own research on what's best for them and their country. When celebrities announce , because it works.

No because they are hated, there is a reason they are having to go online to post nudes for money, the decline in their movie viewings and award shows should tell you all you need to know! They are condescending to the real working families

Probably not but good on them for thinking they matter

Hmm, May have worked before Trump, but not now as realDonaldTrump has opened a lot of eyes and ears and it is clear their influence is irrelevant in the awakened world of 2020

There is no celebrity on this planet that could influence my vote. That would diminish the importance of an informed vote and is insulting. This is an election, not a commercial pushing a product like toothpaste to a consumer.

The blokes an old paedo so a celebs choice

Celebrity endorsements for the Democrats won Trump the election in 2016. Celebrities and their “opinions” are the most annoying thing in the world for “regular” people. rickygervais , please read the riot act to celebrities so that Biden can win. Golden Globes speech will do.

Harvey Weinstein, Jeffery Epstein and Bill Cosby are life long loyal Democrats. They are all life long friends with The Clinton’s. The Obama’s now work for Netflix that just released “cuties.” Hollywood values are Democrat values.

Did they help Clinton?

I didn't think 12yo's were allowed to vote...

Cause they are gid actors doesn't mean they know better so doesnt matter what left actors(all of then) say

Helps a lot more than being endorsed by the Taliban

The only thing that would help Biden at this point is locking him in a home for Alzheimer's patients

No we know they’re shills. Like you. The BBC. Duh.

They sure as hell don’t hurt

LeBron James's voter registration effort will

My birthday up in November Monday 30 November and Christmas I won’t go out Christmas shopping please from Chris 😭

not really as the majority of their fans are teenagers sadly

No!
