Images of the now abandoned ghost town of Bartlett, Texas, have been shared by an urban explorer almost 100 years after it was vacated by nearly all of its residents

Images of the once-busy Texas town show dilapidated homes and spooky, empty buildings.The practically deserted town of Bartlett is situated just one hour north of Texas' capital Austin.Around 1,600 people remain in the ghost town, with most of the commercial and residential properties left vacant and disintegrating.

Residents started to flee the town during The Great Depression from 1929 to 1933, when the railroad went bankrupt and the cotton industry fell into a steep decline.The photographer, who asked not to be named, has been shooting ghost towns across the world for the last 16 years.
