The DWP has announced additional safeguards to the application process for Universal Credit advance payments - how will the changes affect you? UniversalCredit

The DWP has announced the Government has introduced new measures to target benefit fraud carried out across the UK, in a crackdown on benefit fraudsters who steal taxpayer’s money and fleece vulnerable victims out of vital cash. The DWP said it is adding additional safeguards to the application process foradvance payments, which will see applicants have an appointment with Jobcentre staff first before receiving money.
