Parliamentary bosses will discuss revoking a ban on nuclear testing, an official said, after Vladimir Putin suggested Russia could resume testing for the first time in three decades.

Sixteen people have been injured and a 10-year-old boy has died in an attack on Kharkiv, the local governor has said. The eastern Ukrainian city was bombarded overnight, with residents instructed to take cover in the early hours of this morning. 'Attention, the occupiers are striking. Residents of Kharkiv and the region, stay in shelters,' Oleh Syniehubov said on his Telegram channel.'Emergency services are working on the ground, there is damage to cars and buildings.

A huge crater was left in the middle of a road, buildings were damaged and debris was strewn across the street.Elsewhere, Russian drones attacked port infrastructure in Ukraine's Odesa region, damaging a grain silo in the Izmail district. Nine trucks caught fire in the attack, according to local governor Oleh Kiper. No casualties have been reported.
