Coogan stars as the DCI who reopens the Lawrence case six years after the Macpherson inquiry in three-part dramatisation. Plus: Is someone having a love affair in Ghosts? Here’s what to watch this evening

This three-part sequel to the 1999 drama The Murder of Stephen Lawrence, which depicted Doreen and Neville Lawrence’s struggle to prove that their son was murdered by a gang of racists in 1993, picks up in 2006, six years on from the groundbreaking Stephen Lawrence inquiry into the Met Police, and yet without any further progress in the case. DCI Clive Driscoll takes on the cold case in tonight’s opening episode, convinced that he can bring those responsible for the murder to justice.

This is how rare it is for white people to kill a black person that they're still going on about this one case decades later. Any TV dramas about Kriss Donald?

the medias obsession with this murder along with maddie mc canns disappearance after so many yrs is tiresome

Why do they say murdered by racists? Those who went to school with him, and those in the Eltham area all new he was a drug dealer, he was selling drugs on other dealers patches. He was warned not to do it but continued anyway, the warning went to far and he was killed.

I would rather screw my balls to a cactus plant.
