One person said 'Surely they would have known that they’d be told to leave'

Gedling Borough Council has confirmed that it had issued a notice eviction to travellers on a Nottinghamshire park. The travellers were issued the notice on September 29 ordering them to leave Willow Park and vacated on October 5.

At the time Gedling Borough Council said: “We have issued an eviction notice and are now taking steps through Nottingham Magistrates’ Court to remove them from the site as quickly as possible. We are working as quickly as the legal process allows to remove the occupiers and we would like to thank residents for their patience.”Cas Fletcher, 34 said: “I’ve lived in Gedling for two years.
