The ban will prevent transgender women from competing in leagues that match their gender identity. Gov. Kristi Noem championed the bill and it received enthusiastic approve in the Republican-dominated states, clearing a legistlative hurdle.

For me it is a real pity that coercion has to be resorted to through laws and regulations to replace common sense, conscience and respect for the rights of others.
Imagine being born a woman and being the best athelete in your field, only to come in second place to a trans woman. That would be like a kick in the teeth.
