Labour say the Tories should cover their faces in the Commons to set an example to the public.

On Wednesday, Mr Javid said mask-wearing was among a range of measures that could help lower Covid transmission over the winter.

He said this included "really crowded" places "with lots of people that they don't normally hang out with".His statement came just hours after MPs packed into the Commons chamber for Prime Minister's Questions. Liberal Democrat MP Layla Moran said: "It is utter hypocrisy that the public are rightfully being advised to wear masks while Conservative MPs refuse to do so.

Asked on BBC Breakfast whether Tory MPs should cover their faces during debates, Mr Argar replied: "There's clearly a leadership role for members of Parliament on all sides."But I think it's for those individual members of Parliament to read the guidance, consider it, bear in mind what Sajid [Javid] has said, and reach their own views".

This is news? We already know the mess they have caused. We (humans) are trying to work through the F....ng shambles.

Idiots

This is wrong. Imagine if ppl working in hospital isolation units decided not to wear masks. What would happen?Transmission of COVID19 virus.Same will happen here if 1 person is infected&ppl arent wearing masks. Its not their choice if it happens.Vax offers some protection.

typical of MPs always showing a bad example

At least we have a Minister of Health who is a proficient and highly qualified doctor with years of experience and knowledge, and who has dedicated his life to better, inclusive, and more affordable health care.

Throwing away the sick & vulnerable to make like everything is fine. NHS collapsing under the pressure, & a health minister talking... 'rubbish' (I could use better word). God help us all

As can we make the choice too. I wish the bed wetting community would stop telling everyone else how to live their life. If you’ve had the jab and you’re still wetting the bed then stay home.

And yet again M.P’s do as they please so not really shocked

You'd think they'd want to set a good example so everyone else can decide too?

Can Online Safety Bill tackle social media abuse of MPs?After Sir David Amess' death, we look at the detail of the Online Safety Bill and what measures it offers. Nobody cares about on line abuse of MPs. Our supply lines are collapsing. Energy costs are rapidlly spiralling. Feral Refugees a sick culture and weak pathetic police kill and rape our children on mass. And politicians are busy trying to stop people speaking up anonymously. Yes because extremists will be scared of being censored by Twitter. Frankly, given the attitude and performance of the government, they're not criticised enough. They ought to really take onboard the criticism directed at them, particularly as it's the people who pay their salaries.
