ESA is finally updating Mars Express Windows 98-based softwareIt's been chugging along on 20-year-old software, so this is a much appreciated upgrade. Why is it using garbage like. Windows? If it's working why change it? Honestly, I've used old OSs during my time at university and such as well. Some software for old equipment just qon't run on new Windows versions, but the equipment is still totally fine to use, so they rather use an old OS than buying new equipment, cause that stuff is expensive
