We've missed loads of TV while the pandemic has been ongoing, but one of the shows we were sad not to see go ahead was The Apprentice. With toe-curling challenges and horrendous boardroom meetings, it always makes us feel glad that we're not the ones actually in the firing line, trying to secure that all important investment from Lord Sugar.
But, rejoice, as the show is soon going to return to our screens. So expect lots of drama, bad business ideas and lots of shouting. But in series past, there has also been some reported hooking up behind-the-scenes, with some contestants taking a shine to each other . However, according to reports, the BBC are eager to stop all that this year, as it has been reported that extra minders will be employed to stop any bedroom antics happening.
‘Lord Sugar has always hated the idea that some of the contestants might be getting together behind the scenes while filming,’ a source told. 'This isn’t Love Island. To him, the process should be solely about business. The latest batch of contestants face stricter monitoring than any past group. Staff have been tasked with ensuring contestants keep their eyes on the prize and not on each other.
Sadly, series 16 of the show was postponed due to the pandemic - but filming is now set to start next month, so hopefully it won't be too long before The Apprentice is back.
