Teacher, 39, who bombarded boys, 13, with nude selfies jailed for four years

A MISSOURI student-teacher was sentenced to jail after she sent nudes of herself to three 13-year-old male students and begged one of them for sex.

Rusty Rives, police chief of the Lamar Police Department at the time of the investigation, described the conversation as sexually provocative and said the mother's information allowed police to find two other eighth grade boys at the Children's Center in Nevada, Missouri, where Edson had been teaching.

The Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force then joined Lamar police with the case, and police obtained another search warrant three days after her arrest.Barton County Prosecutor Mike Smalley then filed new charged on Edson in February 2019, claiming she sent nude photos of herself to three male students, all 13 at the time, at the school she was teaching.

Edson had been facing a count of sexual enticement of a child in addition to the three counts of sexual misconduct and two counts of possession of child pornography.
