An American woman who claimed to be poor and won a Rhodes scholarship to Oxford has lost her place after it emerged that she attended a $30,000-a-year private school

Mackenzie Fierceton, 24, described herself as a “queer, first generation [to attend university], low-income” student at the University of Pennsylvania. She was awarded one of the coveted scholarships in November 2020., the Rhodes Trust received an anonymous tip-off that she used to go by the surname Morrison and had been sent to the private Whitfield School in Missouri by her mother, a radiologist.

So you can identify as a woman while being a man and get a female only scholarship but you cannot identify as poor. Gotcha
