Strictly bosses 'hope to sign Line of Duty's Ryan Pilkington actor' for show

Strictly Come Dancing bosses have placed Line of Duty star Gregory Piper at the top of their wish list for this year's series, according to reports.

But BBC producers are reportedly now hoping he will swap the police station for the dance floor after he has become a key character in the long-running series."The pinnacle for Strictly bookers is someone well known but also someone who is on the BBC, and Gregory ticks both of those boxes. Reports of bosses' interest in Gregory comes just days after Good Morning Britain weather presenters Alex Beresford and Laura Tobin were tipped for the series.
