Police forces across England and Wales will be able to carry out searches in designated areas without authorisation from a senior officer.

People should know the law. I didn’t anything contentious in that report. The message needs to be “if you’re not happy challenge it later not at he roadside” otherwise you could get arrested for obstruction etc. Respect is a two way street.

The powers are not extending very much at all. They have merely lowered the permissions for stop and search down to Inspector. There is not going to be a tsunami of searches the Tories are misleading people again.

I've been searched dozens of times going into clubs and football matches....hated it every time....I suspect I'd hate getting stabbed more. BBC seems more interested in helping people dodge the rozzers than prevent stabbings.

I was with my friend in his house when he contacted police about suspected case of someone carrying weapon, I was there when he was interviewed. However, I was stopped, car searched, ID checked by same police who were waiting for me to come out from same house. What’s my right?

Really poor explanation of stop & search. Blanket use? That is not S.60 & never has been - no expansion of powers - it's a return to authorisation levels that were passed by parliament & not those decided by Mrs May.

I got stopped a few times when i was younger and i didn't have an issue with it then and i've got no issue with it now, in fact i think it's a very good thing that we have proactivity within our police to regain some sort of control of our streets as it has got right out of hand
