Ministers may agree on the solution, but not on how to pay for improvements to the creaking care system.

Remember too that the prime minister has again and again promised that he'll sort out it.

After months of discussions the shape of the likely reform is still more or less what it was last year, and the year before that, and the year before that, and the year before that., that were first put forward nearly ten years ago. After a year of record breaking borrowing and emergency spending, I'm told the Treasury has made it clear to the prime minister that the only way he can keep his vow to sort out social care, is if he breaks a different commitment made in the general election, and raises tax.

It’s simple. 1. More people are living longer therefore the cost per person is going up. 2. The proportion of people requiring social care vs those paying taxes is also increasing. Net result fewer people needing to pay more but no one will accept increased taxes.

The same old sticking point is the money, but Boris promised what he knew he couldn't deliver, unless taxes go up. Now the truth is different but who cares his target of becoming a PM has been reached.

Human rights abuses! My husband German civilian Dieter Kellouche, got life sentence in UAE with zero evidence, under power of a Royal family. He is in prison for 4 years, attacked in jail and can’t get treatment timely. You can google official news for details. Please HELP!

Main sticking point, extremely hard work not compensated for by a wage reflecting its importance, so not enough training. Profit motive will always work against public good. Covid has taught the Government nothing, or at least, not enough to offer justice.

The sticking point is the Government don’t want to do it!
