It has been called the biggest treatment disaster in NHS history and was the result of a new treatment intended to make lives better.

People with haemophilia, including many young children, were infected, along with others who were given a blood transfusion after surgery. Campaigners say those infected decades ago are now dying at the rate of one every four days as a result. Sir John Major did not hold a position in government in the 1970s or early 1980s when most of those infected were treated with contaminated blood products.

Glasgow SNP MSP John Mason criticised for supporting American abortion rulingSHETTLESTON MSP John Mason is facing criticism over his support for a US court ruling that removes women's right to a legal abortion. How that man is elected to anything in Scotland, let alone Glasgow is beyond me. He needs to be removed. He has no place in Scottish politics.
