Simon Cowell 'spent £250k on stunning ring for fiancée Lauren Silverman'

Lauren, the mother to their seven year old son Eric, wore her new bling on Wednesday afternoon near the couple’s home in California.A source told The Sun: “Lauren had given some strong hints about the kind of ring she wanted and Simon, not being stupid, took notice. He chose the diamond himself, after getting some professional advice, and went down on one knee whilst on the beach."

American socialite Lauren, 44, was reportedly “stunned” by the proposal and said "yes" without hesitation. As rumours began to circulate on the proposal, they were approached and asked if the news was true while in Malibu.They were congratulated and the loved-up pair continued on their merry way and carried on with their cycle.

Their romance blossomed and Lauren gave birth to, Eric, their first child in 2014. During an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show in May 2021, the X Factor supremo opened up about his son, saying: "That is it, I'm besotted." After hearing the huge news, Amanda Holden, fellow Britain's Got Talent judge and friend of Simon, discussed the sweet engagement on Heart FM with co-stars Ashley Roberts and Jamie Theakston.
