Not being funny, but the fishing industry has hammered and overfished removing the seals natural supply of food, so they're hunting for what they can find.

Humans should not be eating fish, and certainly should not be farming them

Fish farming is as unnatural as keeping hens in a battery. In both cases their usual predators go berserk when so much prey is penned into such a confined space. Diseases spread like wildfire in these conditions too.
