Both Drew Barrymore, who plays Casey Becker in the first film, and Jamie Kennedy, portraying fan favourite Randy Meeks, have voice cameos in this new Ghostface adventure.

That's her reading the announcement at the end of the school day," Gillett said."And Jamie Kennedy also voice cameos at the party. He's the guy who says 'Someone's goofy ass dad is kicking us out' while Mindy and Frances are making out on the couch."
Randy also bears a family connection to some of the new characters, being revealed as the uncle of twins Mindy and Chad Meeks-Martin. "Part of it was, I think, just for us on a personal level, we had this real desire to get to know Wes through the people that he worked with and the people whose lives he changed," Gillett then added.
"We just had a real strong desire to reach out to everyone and let them know 'We love what you've done, we want to honor it, and we want you to be a part of us honoring it, in every way possible'."
